I wasn’t sure if we would get to this year’s BVI BBQ Grill-Off, held last Saturday, July 4, down at Brandywine Bay.  But by about ten in the morning the smell of barbecued meat wafting up from Brandywine made it hard to think straight and over the hill we went.

I did it.  It took me almost an hour and a half.  I had to walk up Slaney Hill and back down again.  I have a bloody blister on my right foot.  But I completed the full course of the Mother’s Day Nature’s Little Secrets Ride & Walk for the Cause.

Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta

The Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta finishes up today with gig racing (dinghy rowing) and a cream tea.  Very civilized indeed.  Out on the water, it’s civilized…though perhaps not so genteel.  As you can see from the photo above,shot on the course a few years ago by Bones, the racing can get pretty hairy.  That’s Radiance [...]

BVI Spring Regatta
